Feeling festive, feeling creative

Christmas is always the perfect time (and excuse) to eat, drink, see family and friends, and get creative.

During the festive season, I love to see our community sharing their homemade Christmas decorations. From making gift bags out of wrapping paper to wallpaper gift boxes, Christmas tree decorations, and even leaf wreaths…the list just goes on!

I always like to set myself a new task every Christmas and this year it will be mastering the Japanese gift-wrapping technique. It’s a lot faster than the traditional gift wrapping method. The technique uses a pull-and-fold method on each side of the gift, which means that once you’ve got the hang of it in one move, you can wrap the whole gift in a few seconds. Fancy giving it a go as well? Follow the instructions here on the app.

More inspiration…

Beautiful gift wrapping is one way to impress your friends and show off your skills. But what else can you do?

You can make a Wall Christmas Tree or even Stylish Jute Twinkle Light Shades – perfect for those Christmas gatherings in your home. Bring some sparkle into your home!

Ok, so now for the fun stuff. Cleaning. Yes, cleaning. It can be such a bore, but it has to be done especially when you know you’re going to be hosting friends and family in your home. We have listed the best methods, top tips, and products to use to clean your kitchen cabinets, kitchen range hood and filter, light fixtures, and even your sofas! Click here!

Remember you can find all your renovation and DIY inspiration and instructions in the RenoMate app.

I hope you have a fabulous Christmas and New Year.
